This evening was Maya's last appearance in a pre-school performance. Through poems and songs, the kids "walked" all of us through their year in pre-school. The show began with September (apple songs and fire-safety including using a cell phone to call 911) and proceeded through each month ending with April.
Over the past couple of months, Maya's teacher allowed the kids to play a large role in developing this program. The kids voted on the songs and poems that they liked best and kind of created their very own personalized "walk through preschool".
As the show was getting ready to begin, Kai said to me " I can't wait until next year when Maya gets to watch ME in the program".
Anyway, Maya did a fantastic job. She even got her debut moment when she got to recite "Little Miss Muffit" with one other friend. Thank goodness she finally figured out that Little Miss Muffit sits on a Tuffit. Until last week, she was convinced that she sat on a trumpet.

By the way, the first picture is of Maya and her best friend Kadin. They have been planning their wedding since last year. Maya is so excited that they will be in the same kindergarten class next year.
