The Easter Egg Hunt!

My parents' very small town/neighborhood hosted its' annual easter egg hunt today. The great thing about this event is that there are few to no kids that actually reside in this town. Most of the people present at the event are either grandkids, nieces, or nephews of the residents. The bottom line...a thousand eggs and not many kids. This sounded great to us considering last year we left our local easter egg hunt with two eggs, one in Kai's basket and one is Maya's (and I had to practically dive to the ground to secure Kai's egg). The event was held at the town's park, a secret cove nestled in the middle of trees and woods and hidden from public view (I don't even think I could find it again if I tried).
The rain stopped just in time for the Easter Bunny's arrival on a golf cart and the start of the hunt. The kids had a great time finding the eggs and opening them afterwards to discover "treasure" inside. They played on the playground and ate candy and cookies for the remainder of the afternoon.
