Every 4th of July, our neighbors throw a huge block party for all of the neighbors and their families. There is great food, swimming, bike riding, bean bag games, and a fire works display like you wouldn't believe. I think last night's show lasted for almost 3 hours!
The kids had a great time riding their bikes up and down the sidewalk with their friends. They also ate more cake and cookies in one day than they ever had before. To top off a very good day, Maya and Kai absolutely loved the fireworks. We really thought Maya would be afraid of them this year as she has been verbalizing this fear for the last week. Instead, she happily watched the fireworks as one of the older girls put beads in her hair (she thought this was very cool). I don't think we headed home until 10:30 p.m. And guess what...the kids were still up at 7:45 a.m. this morning.

Hello well you all looked like you had a load of fun on July 4th with the parade party and fire works. You looked so smart in your outfits. Nanny was at work so I did not see any fireworks this year. I like all your pictures but in particular the one with you and Kai sitting with your legs on each others chairs looking up into the sky.Please say hi to mummy and daddy and the boys, love you millions xxxxxxxxxxxx
