Maya and Kai absolutely love their sandbox. They are in the box daily digging, burying, making "lemonade", and cooking up all sorts of yummy sand food.
Everytime they are playing in the sand, the dogs are never more than 2 feet away. The "boys"(our dogs Benson and Hunter) love lying in the sand, especially when it's hot outside. Hunter will always place himself directly between the kids, just inviting them to pour sand all over him....and that's exactly what they do. Hunter will often lie motionless for up to 20 minutes as the kids dump handfull after bucket of sand all over his back.
We feel so lucky that our kids and dogs are such great pals. The dogs are so wonderful and tolerant around the kids.
